Ruapehu Reports. Turoa will open at 9.00am. At present there is 50-100 metres visibility with a moderate NW wind. All facilities will open bar the highnoon. Visibility must improve before upper moutain can be opened. Conditions underfoot are soft on-trail and variable off-trail. There has been a light dusting of snow over night. Conditions are set to improve during the day.

Mt Ruapehu Ski reports  Turoa is shut for the day due to poor weather condtions. They have lost 10cm of snow due to rain fall in the past 24 hrs. More snow is predicted. It even snowing up top right now.

Whakapapa will open at 8.30am. At present they have rain showers on the Lower Mountain and snow showers on the Upper Mountain.There is a modeate to strong SW wind. Visibility is 500-1000 metres. It is soft on and off trail due to rain grooming. Low light lenses are recommended to increase visibility. Take care off trail as rocks may be exposed.
